career highlights:  Having Peter Saville and Graham Fink choose an animated piece of mine as the winning entry in a recent motion graphics competition has to be right up there as a highlight.

which creative people, places and things on your radar right now?

people: Universal Everything (and especially Matt Pyke) – a truly innovative multidisciplinary studio, really pushing the motion graphics boundary with cutting-edge programming as well as traditional production techniques.

places: Magma bookshop – I can lose hours in there.

things: David O’Reilly’s animated series ‘Please Say Something’; Mogwai – quiet/loud modern day psychedelia - soothes my brain in a quiet/loud way; Motionographer - for keeping up with industry news; and FFFFOUND! - an excellent image bookmarking site.

what’s your favourite daydream? Somehow the fragmented film ideas rattling around in my head have miraculously materialised into a successful full-length feature.

what was the last rule you broke? My own ‘no alcohol on a Monday’ rule.
