about Billy Ma (Taiwan/Canada/Singapore): Born in Taiwan, I experienced a life less ordinary at the age of seven for 9 months during the Vietnam War when my family moved there. Imagine the recall as I got older! Immigrated to and indoctrinated in Canada. What a glorious country. Will forever consider myself Canadian. The great awakening three years ago when it was time to return to Asia and lead the life less ordinary again.
career highlights: Finally ditched the training wheels on my bike at age seven. No chuckles please... Achieved the double stack burger double flip with extra cheese at the end of the summer at the my ultra cool job on Clifton Hill, Niagara Falls (Wax Museum capital). Made it through high school alive despite over 80% of the students being Italians: "It's pronounced brewshketta!" Survived what seemed like an eternity of higher education according to my parents (and me). To pay for said higher education, I developed the obsession for great food and great wine while learning the art of restauranting. Check Please!
