The Creative Core BN x MeshMinds
As part of Creative Economy Week in Brunei, two of MeshMinds’ senior members facilitated an AR Creative & VR Storytelling Workshop with professionals, entrepreneurs and artists. Creative Economy Week is a work-festival promoting the development of creative industries in Brunei. Organised by TheCreativeCore BN and InTurn, the insightful discussion sparked a common platform for participants to exchange and showcasing the ways creativity plays an active role in different lines of work across industries, beyond the arts.
MeshMinds’ Chief Inspiration Officer, Olivier Bos was engaged proactively in a round table dinner (Talk About It. Let’s! and CEW Forum) which highlighted an insightful discussion about the role of creativity in our society; collaboration and current trends in the creative industries; and expanding practices beyond the arts. Together with Chief Creative Technologist, Haikel Yusuff, they conducted a workshop and showcased two of our AR/VR experiences, The Mount That Keeps Growing by DPLMT and Water Bodies by Mightyellow aka Adeline Tan. The showcase was well-received with large crowds engaging with the artworks. MeshMinds were also very honoured to present the interactive and immersive works to Brunei’s Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports.
MeshMinds is exceptionally proud and honoured to be part of Creative Economy Week in Brunei and introduced the potential of AR/VR art and technology, to maximise engagement, empathy and action towards the Sustainable Development Goals. We look forward to continuing to promote our mission in Brunei and beyond!
