Research & Development

The Research & Development programme aims to bring forward a network of leading academic researchers, content creators, technology companies and cultural institutions to collaborate and measure the impact of Asia’s VR/AR content.

Asia VR/AR Impact Lab, is a collaboration between MeshMinds, Warrior9 VR, Singapore’s leading immersive content creators, and Dr. Benjamin Li from Nanyang Technology University (NTU), Dr. Khoo Eng Tat from National University of Singapore (NUS), Dr. Tim Marsh from Griffith University in Australia.

The Asia VR/AR Impact Lab were invited to showcase Oceans We Make by Warrior9 VR at SIGGRAPH 2018 in Tokyo. From our post-user experience survey, designed by our esteemed research colleagues, we discovered that an astonishing 84% of people rate it at least 8 out of 10 after the experience for how concerned they feel about plastic pollution.

Let's connect! If you are an academic researcher, content creator, technology company or cultural institution based in Asia that wants to measure the impact of VR/AR experiences, please get in touch.

“Today’s challenges are no longer exclusive to one region or country, and we are all equally responsible in becoming part of the solution. New immersive technologies will help us to achieve this goal.”
